We are so excited for the upcoming 2024 Camping Season!
​
Honey Bear is a family-friendly campground located in Boone, North Carolina. We are less than 3 miles from Appalachian State University and just over 4 from bustling downtown Boone.​
​
This season is a unique one for us as it is our FINAL camping season! Honey Bear Campground is closing permanently after the month of October.
For the past 12 camping seasons, our family has had the joy of running Honey Bear Campground as a magical, family fun, summer destination here in the High Country. Our family has made memories that will last a lifetime, and we are forever grateful for that. It is no secret that running Honey Bear has been an opportunity of a lifetime.
Thankfully as we head into the closing process of the campground, we get one last HURRAH of a season and we are looking at it as an HBC FAREWELL TOUR! We are planning to open up May 15th and our last day of camping will be October 26th. With this news in mind, we want to encourage EVERYONE to come see us for one final swan song of a summer and enjoy this gorgeous place one last time. We do foresee spots filling up fast as folks grab their favorite sites, so please don't delay. We want everyone to have their final memory making moments alongside our family as we wrap up an amazing 2024 season.

Important Note Regarding Cable:
We no longer offer cable at our campground, as it has been unreliable in the past. Feel free to come see us in the office to rent one of our movies FREE. In addition, many campers are able to get satellite in our D-loop. Thank you for understanding!
